Post Thanksgiving Wrap Up

I can't believe its Monday already! This weekend just flew by. My brain has been a little foggy with all the turkey and wine ;)
And my episode of The High Low Project was on and I didn't even get to see it. I'm kinda glad I didn't because I don't want to see myself look silly on national television. Hahahahaha. But at least I can't post all the pictures I want. I wasn't allowed to post anything until the show aired, and that was difficult. HA.
So now I can post pictures of EVERYTHING!! Yay!

Like the amazing carpet they picked out.

This carpet is huuuge, it's maybe 8x10 feet!
And how good do my floors look?! I'm glad they dried in time :)

But I think my favorite things in the room are my pictures that they framed.

They are pictures I took when I lived in Brooklyn and they were on my Instagram!

I'm not gonna lie, the yellow dresser is pretty amazing!!!

And here is the bed and canopy.

The new headboard is actually packed up because we just sold the house. I know crazy!!! But luckily I can take everything with me.
I can even put this canopy up somewhere else. It is just curtain rods!!

The episode was filmed almost 4 months ago so the room have gotten plenty of use. Unfortunately the kids think it's bed now and I can't ever get them out :)
Maybe I should redo their room and then they will go back. Hahaha.

I also had a great Thanksgiving with my family, I guess that is the whole point to the holiday.

My Papa was the happiest man in the world I think :)

The Living Room

So awhile back I went and saw the band Caveman, you might remember I wrote about them awhile ago. So I saw them in a super small bar with maybe 50 other people, it was awesome! They were amazing!

I think it will actually be on Sirius XM, so check it out!

And then are playing at Terminal 5 tonight!! So, if you're in NYC you should check them out. They will also be at the TLA in Philly tomorrow ;)
Unfortunately I won't be able to make either shows....

Beach Life

Well it's been a looooong week at the beach and I'm totally ready to go home. We stayed at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, it was right on the beach so it was perfect for the kids. Here are a couple of my favortie things from my time here :)

The best thing ever is having Candy Kitchen right across the street.

Yes, that is Dylan opening the door. He thinks this is the most amazing place ever, I'm not gonna lie, I thought the same thing at his age :)
It's like a candy heaven.

And for amazing seafood, go went to Tom and Terrys Seafood Market, they have everything seafood. We got a dozen crabs and for $45 they will steam, season and give you some brown paper for your table :) and they were big and delicious!

And on every Saturday they sell BBQ chicken and ribs at the fire station. They ran out of ribs by the time we got there, but the chicken was delicious.
Those old guys know what they are doing ;)

Now we have two more days to explore and play. I definitely want to go to the Dogfish Head Brewpub! So hopefully the kids will calm down long enough to go to an actual restaurant. Fingers crossed ;)

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Beach Trip

Finally I've been waiting all summer to go to the beach! I mean, I can drive to the beach everyday, it's only an hour from my house. But being at the beach for 10 days its much better :)
So we got here last night, a four hour drive, but waking up here is worth it.

This is the view from our condo. Beautiful!
I can't wait to swim in the ocean and plan in the sand all week!!
I was also in Philadelphia last week. The good old home away from home. Where strangers are friends and friends are family ;)

There is nothing better than having sleepovers with your girlfriends ;)

Hahahahaa.
Now to have more fun at the beach with these crazy kids. Lol.

I think they are looking for Megaladon. Hahaha. Good luck with that, kids!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

I met Sabrina Soto!!!!

Happy Friday everyone!!! So yesterday was the first day of filming for the 'High Low Project' and I was suuuuuper nervous. I don't get nervous very often so that's saying a lot. Maybe I should of taken a shot of tequila before or something ;)
I was waiting for them to say 'action' and I thought my legs were going to collapse under me. No joke.
It was super weird at first. You sit there talking to her and there is a camera two feet in front of your face. Oh and about 20 other people sitting around the room. But don't look at them or the camera. Hahaha. But after the power went out, twice, I felt much more comfortable. Sabrina was super sweet and nice. I totally want her to be my new bestfriend and drinking buddy ;) We could drink wine and she could give me design tips and I could make her cookies! It would be the perfect friendship. Ok maybe I went to far. Lol.
it was a really fun day except that it rained when we were filming our entrance. Look for me using a $200 yellow umbrella!!! Crazy! Thankfully the wind didn't blow it away ;)
Oh and this was my outfit

Dress from Anthropologie, but its sold out now :(
Necklace from Anthropologie
Shoes by JustFab
I only got this picture and its not very good. Sorry, I was nervous!

Now I'm going to be working on my house for the next month until they start filming again. I will let everyone know when the episode will air but I don't think it will be till the fall.

Have a great weekend :)

Phishing on the Weekend

Wow! I can't believe it is already Thursday. This week has flown by.
Last weekend Tyler and I went to Saratoga Springs, NY and saw the band Phish.

It was incredible!
I used to go to a lot of Phish shows but now it's only about once a year. So we got rid of the kids and had an adult weekend :)

Ya gotta love partying/ camping with your friends, in the woods, in 90+ weather. Perfect :)
There was a beautiful lake we swam in everyday but I didn't get a picture of it, I was scared I was going to drop my phone in the water. Ha.
The pictures I did take had some of the best 'photo bombs' I have seen in awhile.
Hey Troy :)

So much fun!!

So after a great weekend with friends. I come home to get ready to Dylan's birthday party this weekend. I swear, the party never stops sometimes. And today my soon-to-be 3 year old, told me he wants a chocolate peanut butter cake. What?!? He is just as specific about his cake as his father is. Hahaha.
So hopefully I can pull this party together without making everyone cry.

Caveman

On Monday I went to a video release party for the video 'In The City' by the band Caveman. It was at The Wooly in the old Woolworth building in Manhattan. My girlfriend Alisha and I had a great time. Even thought I stayed out way too late, realizing that it is very difficult to function on only 3 hours of sleep.  The bar was dark and adorable. They had great wallpaper, furniture, art, pretty much everything was beautiful. Unfortunately I left my phone in a cab so I have no pictures.

But here's the video-

The video is a little creepy but I love the song. Their whole album is awesome. Check them out, Caveman

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

In The City

This week has been fantastic and we are only half way through! Woo! I have been out for lunch with friends twice this week. And for a mom/girl who never gets to do anything, twice is super exciting! Have two kids and living away from family makes it difficult to have a social life :(
First I met my longtime friend, Anthony. He is moving out of Brooklyn, so I bought him some farewell pizza from my favorite place, Carmine's. It was a perfect day to hang out in Brooklyn.

We stopped and had a beer at 2 in the afternoon because we had nothing better to do. It's fun to be an adult sometime :)

The next day I had lunch with another friend of mine and her adorable baby. Every time I'm around a baby I want one. Ugh. We went for a great walk along the Hudson River. Then she took me to a restaurant I've never been to before called Bubby's. It was farm fresh and delicious. Dylan thought he was on a farm. It was great!

Dylan thought every boat was a pirate ship.

He also wanted to ride this cow. Hahahaha.

I love just walking around taking pictures of things. The art is always changing. The city is like one big living art museum.

Think about being able to climb this wall. That would be crazy!

The mind wanders......

Spring Breaking

I have been stuck lately. Easter was great! There was tons of delicious food and everybody was happy. But afterwards I just felt drained. I couldn't think of anything to do, my head was all foggy. Everything is great. Maybe even perfect and when things are perfect i get anxious. Like something bad is going to happen. Its an awful feeling. Like, what do i do next in life. I was at a Y in the road and I couldn't think of which direction to go in.
I hate that feeling. Ugh.
So it took a couple days to shake that feeling and get back to normal. So that's why I haven't written anything all week. Sorry.
Logan has also been on spring break all week, so I have been trying to entertain him and Dylan.
We started at the zoo! Yay!! I absolutely love the zoo. We live about a mile from the Turtle Back Zoo. So we bought a yearly pass and went a couple times this week. The kids had so much fun. They ran all over the place but they listened to me so well, I was quite impressed.

I can't forget our trip to the frozen yogurt store.

Then we traveled to our old stomping grounds. The city of brotherly love, Philadelphia! I lived there for about 6 years. It's where Tyler and I met and the kids were both born there. So it's a very special place to me. We went to some of our favorite parks and had pizza and played. We took the subway and the boys really liked that.
I couldn't go to Philly without stopping at The Reading Terminal Market . It is the most amazing food place in Philadelphia because you can get everything in one place. When the Logan was just a baby I would shop there every week. The food is delicious, fresh, local and cheaper than the grocery store.
We also walked to Old City and the kids ran all around the liberty bell and independence hall. It was a ton of fun.

There is so much good food.

I thought this was funny. Like, we tore down the actually house but this one was good enough so we saved it... Oh America :)

I LOVE these roses. I want them on my fence.

The tree roots looked like they were eating the bricks. Yum yum yum.

It was the most perfect day for a walk in the city.

I thought this old sign was so cool. The building was an old department store.

All and all it was a good spring break with the kids. I am definitely ready for Logan to be back in school next week. Even though it's a week of half days and a parent teacher conference. Logan is the sweetest kid in the world so I'm not really worried ;)

Have a great weekend!
