The Dead and Co

So yesterday we packed up the whole family and drove to Philly for The Dead and Co show. Well we weren't really going to the show but regardless, we went to Philly. Hahahaha. 

I wanted to go shopping at Anthropologie and my friend was selling his tie-dyes and he told to come sell my indigo's! So I figured, why not!!? 

 

 

The kids had so much fun! 

I used to take Logan to Phish concerts when he was little and I was pregnant with Dylan. So this is nothing new to me but kids forget everything. So they ran up and down and sold tie-dyes. Hahahaha. I truly didn't think they would have as much fun as they did. 

 

We just hung out in the Volkswagen Van and had a great time. It definitely gives you a different perspective about concerts. I used to be the one getting drunk and not remembering the music but now it's different. I am able to enjoy the time with my family and be happy 😊 

 

Now I get to sit here and fold laundry while the baby sleeps. Perfect Monday afternoon 👍🏽

On the level

As I'm sitting here in the Arby's drive threw, trying to relax and Mac DeMarco comes on the radio (I listen to the radio allll the time, WXPN FOR LIFE!) and I'm straight chilling now. I'm 'On The Level' 😜✌🏽❤️

Even if it was just for a minute or 3 😉

But I love how music can just take you somewhere else, mentally. And I need to be somewhere else right now. My life is in chaos. It's after 10 pm Wednesday night and we are just getting done. 

My whole house all fits in the downstairs part of my new house. Hahahah. 

 

 

The kids could care less. As long as they have their movies and video games, they're fine. 

 

But seriously, I'm so stressed out. 

I heard saying the word 'stress' makes you more stressed out actually. So maybe I'm just overwhelmed. There, that sounds much more manageable. 

But yea, there is no internet at the new house. I'm being blocked or something, it's probably the Russians. Lol 😆 

Yea, that's why I'm sitting at Arby's listening to the radio. 

Alright gotta head back to the house and keep unpacking.

The Living Room

So awhile back I went and saw the band Caveman, you might remember I wrote about them awhile ago. So I saw them in a super small bar with maybe 50 other people, it was awesome! They were amazing!

I think it will actually be on Sirius XM, so check it out!

And then are playing at Terminal 5 tonight!! So, if you're in NYC you should check them out. They will also be at the TLA in Philly tomorrow ;)

Unfortunately I won't be able to make either shows....

Album Art

Ok, so I might of strayed from my 'list' a little bit but it was for good reason.

Music and art. 

The two best things in the world! You know what they say...

I have a pretty decent record collection. It's not huge but the ones I have are good :) So I went to Ikea and bought some album frames. You can also get them from Amazon, Target, even Walmart.

I picked out my favorite albums and framed them. 

Voilà. 

I also had some prints I bought off Etsy awhile back, when we were still living in Brooklyn, but I never framed them. So I got some frames for them too. 

I love them!!!

And looking at her shop again, I think I need more prints!

Phishing on the Weekend

Wow! I can't believe it is already Thursday. This week has flown by.

Last weekend Tyler and I went to Saratoga Springs, NY and saw the band Phish.

It was incredible! 

I used to go to a lot of Phish shows but now it's only about once a year. So we got rid of the kids and had an adult weekend :)

Ya gotta love partying/ camping with your friends, in the woods, in 90+ weather. Perfect :)

 There was a beautiful lake we swam in everyday but I didn't get a picture of it, I was scared I was going to drop my phone in the water. Ha. 

The pictures I did take had some of the best 'photo bombs' I have seen in awhile.

So much fun!!

So after a great weekend with friends. I come home to get ready to Dylan's birthday party this weekend. I swear, the party never stops sometimes. And today my soon-to-be 3 year old, told me he wants a chocolate peanut butter cake. What?!? He is just as specific about his cake as his father is. Hahaha. 

So hopefully I can pull this party together without making everyone cry.

Caveman

On Monday I went to a video release party for the video 'In The City' by the band Caveman. It was at The Wooly in the old Woolworth building in Manhattan. My girlfriend Alisha and I had a great time. Even thought I stayed out way too late, realizing that it is very difficult to function on only 3 hours of sleep.  The bar was dark and adorable. They had great wallpaper, furniture, art, pretty much everything was beautiful. Unfortunately I left my phone in a cab so I have no pictures.

But here's the video-

The video is a little creepy but I love the song. Their whole album is awesome. Check them out, Caveman.
