Beer Tour, First stop.....

Ok soo I'm not gonna lie, I've had a lot of time on my hands recently, I lost my job and I have been going out of my mind from boredom. I don't know how you stay at home moms do it because I'm going crazy over here.
I just need to have a break and have somewhere to go and now I have nothing. No adult communication, nothing. I have been super depressed and just not feeling like myself lately.
So when I was at therapy today ( yes, I go to therapy. I personally think that everyone should go,  especially if your insurance is going to pay for it, BOOM). So I'm talking to my therapist about how I'm just not feeling 100, and she was kinda like 'blah blah blah, if you’re not feeling yourself then do something about it!' and I was all like, 'true story'.
So here I am.
Back at the blog. I've been doing this blog for almost 7 years but it hasn't alway been easy. I never really wrote about the crappy stuff in my life.
Like my divorce 5 years ago.
Stuff like that.
Not fun
But anyways, thats another story.
So I was thinking, what else do I know reaaallllly well?!!? My town!!
Obviously!
I mean I moved away for 10 years but I know this town and it has changed soooo much. I like to think for the good, but whatever. I miss all the farm land.
But the one thing I noticed was how many breweries there were now. I mean come on, I love beer, clearly. And one thing I learned from living in the city was good beer.
So I figured I would go on an adult beer crawl, with my children in tow. Because whats more fun than kids and beer?!!
Nothing, seriously it’s not that fun. Kids can be assholes sometimes, and thats why adults are allowed to drink!

So the first place we decided to go was Evergrain Brewery in Camp Hill. I grew up riding my bike in the back parking lot when it was the Mercades dealership. So that’s definitely a good spot for me.
So they are kid friendly if you get there earlier enough to be able to get a table. Otherwise you just have to stand around and coral your young. They don’t take reservations so it’s first come first take. HA. They have a ping pong table, and a cornhole games to play to entertain the kids, and yourself. I was having a pretty awesome game of ping pong when we went. Hahahaha. The beer is truly delicious and they have something for everyone. I love IPA so their Juice Joosey is one of my favorites.

They also sell beer Togo in Crowlers or Growlers and you can bring your own Growler to be filled.

They have a good window that you can get food from called Red Sky Cafe. Their pretzels πŸ₯¨ are amazzzing especially if you’re drinking beer.
They also have free ice and water for everyone!
So I would give them πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½
They just need more tables for every one and they I would love that place even more.

Check it out!

Ace & Jig bedding

So Land of Nod came out with a line from Ace & Jig, a collection of baby things and whatnot and I reallllly wanted to get it but I couldn’t really justify $50 crib sheets. Maybe if they were full size sheets but no, not baby sheets.
But then they went on sale so I totally bought them!!

They are basic black and white so you could use for a boy or girl. The set came with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and a pillow case.

Ace and Jig are a company out of Brooklyn and they have amazing dresses and rompers. My boobs are huge so I don’t know if I could fit in any of their stuff. But I still like to look πŸ‘€

I’m still in the process of renovating Remy’s room so I just buy things a little bit at a time. Then it’s not so overwhelming financial. I learned that the hard way with the first house I bought. I thought everything had to be perfect right away but this time around I’m going slowly.
Clearly I know that’s not the case now because it would cost like, $500,000.00 to renovate my house and fill it with furniture.
Wish me luck!

Mini Philly Trip

I'm  usually busy during the week but I had a day free, so I decided to take a drive to Philly. I'm super obsessed with this new podcast, Dirty John, so it wasn't like i was driving at all.
I wanted to get the new Madewell sweater they came out with.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE shopping online. especially late at night when everyone is asleep I can't fall asleep . HA.
But my body is weird from nursing Remy and eating like crap. So not everything looks good.
I will put jeans on if I totally have to but they definitely need to be high-rise so it can suck all my mom stuff in. HA.

So Madewell has been my go-to lately, they have a 10" high-rise that I'm totally in love with! I can wash them over and over again and the quality lasts, so I keep buying them.

So I'm driving and listening to my podcast and before I know it I'm in Center City Philly parallel parking my car like a pro. BOOM!
I was in and out the store in less than 30 mins. hahahahaha. I was deinitly in the car driving longer than I was actually in the city itself. Remy is awesome in the car, he just eats, talks, and then goes to sleep, its really amazing. Then we get to the stores and he pulls all the clothing all over the place. Ooooh Remy.

All in all it was a pretty chill Monday. I got to watch Hocus Pocus with the kids and snuggle up in the awesome sweatpants I got. WIN!

Remy's First Birthday!

I can't believe that its been a year already! Time goes by so fast when you are busy and with 3 kids, so clearly I've been forgetting to write. I'm sorry.
So we had a super fun birthday party with just a few friends and a ton of balloons. I've realized that kids will be happy if you just have a ton of balloons. Hahahah.

I was just excited to buy baby stuff again! HA. Logan just turned 9 so he's all about video games and whatnot but its fun to shop for Remy.
I was looking at these Gather playmats for him for awhile so I went for it and got one.
They are so well made! its just a big leather mat that you can fold up and wipe off if you spill something, and Remy usually is throwing his food around. So the mat is amazing, even the big kids play on it. Logan is playing on it as I write this. I also got some really cool handmade wooden toys from Bannor Toys.

They have every state made into a little rattle toy. They are super adorable and Remy loves his.

I also got the boys some personalized chalkboard from Chalk Full of Design to practice their names, Dylan was having some trouble with his "e"s. They are really cute and you can reuse them! They came with a chalkboard pen, so you can just write on the boards and then wipe them off with a baby wipe.
And we alll know that as moms we use baby wipes you clean up just about everything. HA.
So there it is, a month late but still. HAPPY BIRTHDAY REMY!!

WXPN Festival

Last Saturday we went to Philadelphia to go to the WXPN Festival.
I actually got 2 free 'go-everywhere' passes from being a member of the radio station. I listen to WXPN (99.7 here in Central PA) everyday, its the only radio station i listen to in my car. Its a local radio station out of Philadelphia, it features a ton of local artists so I LOVE it! So donating and being a member just makes sense.
So the festival was actually in Camden NJ, so we parked in my old neighborhood in Philly and took the ferry over. In all the years I lived in Philly I never took the ferry. It was soooo much fun!
When I first stepped on the ferry I felt like I was walking on a trampoline, I defiantly didn't have my sea legs. Hahahaha. I seriously had my head out the widow the whole way across the river, I felt like a little kid.
Once we got to the festival it was like a kid in a candy store, there were multiple stages so you could walk all around the waterfront. There were vendors, Dogfish Head Brewery was there, Subaru was there donating books to the schools in Camden. They even had the Children's Garden open but we got there a little too late (I wanted to go shopping at Anthropologie, don't judge me).
But they had free water and ice tea from Turkey Hill and a separate chill space just for members, so it was perfect for us and the kids. The boys had a blast, they ran around the grass and wrestled each other. its kinds nice going to concert with kids now, before you would have to fight everyone around you to get some space but with kids people move away from you. hahahahaha it's kinda perfect. Like a child barrier, I guess no one whats to be around a couple of rowdy kids.

But seriously, it was the most perfect day. Matt (my fiancΓ©) doesn't get off work often so it was really nice for us all to spend time together. We also hit up the Nordstrom sale on the way into the city, is was AMAZING, seriously, check it out online!

Im sorry for not post more but this summer has been absolutely crazy. I'm counting down the days until the kids are back in school, seriously.

Mini Beach Trip

Ok so it's been a few days since we've been home from the beach, it took me a little bit to get my brain back from being fried in the sun but it was so much fun! We went to Ocean City Maryland for 2 days and let me tell you, 2 days was enough! Hahahah.
Dylan got all cut up from boogie boarding and by the second day I hated the sand. I'm still vacuuming  sand out of my car.
we got to go eat at Phillip's Seafood and it was soooo good. I was so full from seafood that I could hardly move after and Remy was eating ribs like a champ. He may not have any teeth but that doesn't mean he can't eat. Hahahaha

I'm defenitly more of a pool girl but the kids loved the beach. And it definitely didn't hurt that there were awesome outlets all over the place! It was amazing! Kate Spade, Levis', Alex and Ani, Build-A-Bear, GAP, you name it, they had it. The deals they had were crazy! Vans had buy one get on 50% off, so I bought the boys shoes. Lucky Brand Jeans had 30-70% off so I got these booties for $25!!! I should definitely go back for before school shopping πŸ€”

I would drive down just to shop. Just kidding, Dylan wouldn't stop talking on the drive home. almost 3 hours straight. I tried to pay him to stop talking and that didn't work. That kid would do anything for money too. HA.
Now to plan our next little trip 😜✌🏽

Natural deodorant

So for the past few months I have been using natural deodorant and it has been, well interesting. HA.
So I detoxed from 'real' deodorant for almost 2 weeks. I seriously didn't wear anything for weeks. It was kinda gross in not gonna lie. I smelled like cat pee. lol, I swear!
I would be out and about and I would keep getting a whiff of cat pee! I don't know. Maybe it wasn't me. Everyone smells different 😏
So I went to GNC and got PiperWai natural deodorant. It was made by two girls in their kitchen, in Philly nonetheless! And I loved their Ad.

I'm a HUGE sucker for advertising. If its funny and makes me laugh, I'll probably buy it.
So I used it for about a month so far. I like the roll on stick vs. the jar because I really don't like rubbing stuff in my armpits with my fingers.
Call me crazy but I think it's gross to rub my fingers in my pits.
Ok so first let me remind you that I live in Pennsylvania. Where the humidity feels like you are wearing a fur coat outside. Or it's nice and cool. You never know!
But for the most part it's hot and sticky and I sweat, a lot.
Like a farmer working in the hot sun all day. I'm gross.
And the natural deodorant is just that, deodorant. Not an anti-perserant. So it's doesn't stop you from sweating and yes, I know that sweating is normal.
I just don't like it.
I don't like my shirt being soaking wet, this is not a wet t-shirt contest!
It's hard enough carring a baby around, (and boobs filled will hot milk) I don't need my armpits to be faucets of sweat too.
So for me, the natural deodorant didn't work.
I'm sorry. I tried. I just rather not sweat.
So if you don't sweat like a hog then go for it! I gave some to my friend who doesn't wear deodorant and she loves it!
So everyone is different.
I hope you try it and love it!
