Second stop....

The second stop on the kid friendly beer tour is Troges Brewery!
Yay!
I love Troges Brewery, the beer is delicious and so is the food. They also have a whole kids menu with crayons included. hahahaha But it's a huge open space with family style tables but they also have booths. They have a big patio so during the summer I'm sure it's amazing there. I absolutely love the view there. Try going during a sunset, you won't regret it.

So the food is amazing. They have a little snack window that you order at and then pick up your food.  I get the Cesar salad, its huge and it has pretzel croutons made from their big beer pretzels. Soooo good!
you order the beer from the bar and then the food from the snack bar. I think I saw some servers but I'm not quite sure. We went Wednesday afternoon with 4 kids and 2 adults and we had a great time! I wasn't very busy and we had a huge table all to ourselves. The kids could play with their toys and color the menu. I also went on Sunday night with the family and it was a little busier but just as fun. There were a bunch of other families there but there is also a bar side with high top tables if you want to go without children. I usually don't get that lucky so I have to drag all the rugrats with me. Hahahaha

Oh they also have a self guided brewery tour. You can just walk through and read about how all the beers are made. They also have a cool little store there, you can buy beer and t-shirts, stickers, glasses, all sorts of cool stuff!
So anytime you find yourself in Hershey, PA check it out! It's right down the street from HersheyPark and the Hershey Outlets.
I will probably be going back once a week for that Cesar salad, yum.

Madewell x Milk

Years ago when I lived in Brooklyn I found this bakery called Milk Bar and  I became obsessed immediately. Their cookies were amazing, they were complex, and just delicious       There wasn’t anything I ever tasted like them before.

When I was living in Brooklyn and then New Jersey and I didn’t have a lot of friends am I started baking out of the Milk cookbook and it kinda saved my life. I had my kids that were small and I was stuck in the house so I didn’t really have anything else to do so I baked. And the recipes in this book are very complex we’re talking 4 different steps just to make a cookie, crazy stuff!!

But anyways I read it over and over again and I just like fell in love with them.  I felt like this bakery was my soulmate, I’m not gonna lie.
This is actually how and why I started my blog. The name itself ‘Cookies And Daydream’ is from baking cookies out of the Milk Bar Cookbook. The second post on this blog is about Milk Bar! It’s crazy!
So now they did  a collaboration with Madewell   I love them too! I wear their jeans every single day and their T-shirts are amazing. So I am incredibly excited about this!

Like the T-shirts they came out with has a little pocket and it looks like a cookie is being dunked into the pocket it’s adorable, needless to say I totally got it.

So I feel like my life and Milk bar have been intertwined for years and I love it!
I can’t wait to make some cookies out of the cookbook for Christmas!
Now I just need to get my hands on that apron. They didn’t have it at the store we went to and it’s sold out online. I guess I’m going on another road trip. Hahahaha.

Beer Tour, First stop.....

Ok soo I'm not gonna lie, I've had a lot of time on my hands recently, I lost my job and I have been going out of my mind from boredom. I don't know how you stay at home moms do it because I'm going crazy over here.
I just need to have a break and have somewhere to go and now I have nothing. No adult communication, nothing. I have been super depressed and just not feeling like myself lately.
So when I was at therapy today ( yes, I go to therapy. I personally think that everyone should go,  especially if your insurance is going to pay for it, BOOM). So I'm talking to my therapist about how I'm just not feeling 100, and she was kinda like 'blah blah blah, if you’re not feeling yourself then do something about it!' and I was all like, 'true story'.
So here I am.
Back at the blog. I've been doing this blog for almost 7 years but it hasn't alway been easy. I never really wrote about the crappy stuff in my life.
Like my divorce 5 years ago.
Stuff like that.
Not fun
But anyways, thats another story.
So I was thinking, what else do I know reaaallllly well?!!? My town!!
Obviously!
I mean I moved away for 10 years but I know this town and it has changed soooo much. I like to think for the good, but whatever. I miss all the farm land.
But the one thing I noticed was how many breweries there were now. I mean come on, I love beer, clearly. And one thing I learned from living in the city was good beer.
So I figured I would go on an adult beer crawl, with my children in tow. Because whats more fun than kids and beer?!!
Nothing, seriously it’s not that fun. Kids can be assholes sometimes, and thats why adults are allowed to drink!

So the first place we decided to go was Evergrain Brewery in Camp Hill. I grew up riding my bike in the back parking lot when it was the Mercades dealership. So that’s definitely a good spot for me.
So they are kid friendly if you get there earlier enough to be able to get a table. Otherwise you just have to stand around and coral your young. They don’t take reservations so it’s first come first take. HA. They have a ping pong table, and a cornhole games to play to entertain the kids, and yourself. I was having a pretty awesome game of ping pong when we went. Hahahaha. The beer is truly delicious and they have something for everyone. I love IPA so their Juice Joosey is one of my favorites.

They also sell beer Togo in Crowlers or Growlers and you can bring your own Growler to be filled.

They have a good window that you can get food from called Red Sky Cafe. Their pretzels 🥨 are amazzzing especially if you’re drinking beer.
They also have free ice and water for everyone!
So I would give them 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
They just need more tables for every one and they I would love that place even more.

Check it out!

Remy's First Birthday!

I can't believe that its been a year already! Time goes by so fast when you are busy and with 3 kids, so clearly I've been forgetting to write. I'm sorry.
So we had a super fun birthday party with just a few friends and a ton of balloons. I've realized that kids will be happy if you just have a ton of balloons. Hahahah.

I was just excited to buy baby stuff again! HA. Logan just turned 9 so he's all about video games and whatnot but its fun to shop for Remy.
I was looking at these Gather playmats for him for awhile so I went for it and got one.
They are so well made! its just a big leather mat that you can fold up and wipe off if you spill something, and Remy usually is throwing his food around. So the mat is amazing, even the big kids play on it. Logan is playing on it as I write this. I also got some really cool handmade wooden toys from Bannor Toys.

They have every state made into a little rattle toy. They are super adorable and Remy loves his.

I also got the boys some personalized chalkboard from Chalk Full of Design to practice their names, Dylan was having some trouble with his "e"s. They are really cute and you can reuse them! They came with a chalkboard pen, so you can just write on the boards and then wipe them off with a baby wipe.
And we alll know that as moms we use baby wipes you clean up just about everything. HA.
So there it is, a month late but still. HAPPY BIRTHDAY REMY!!
