Oh Hopper, where are thee....

Hopper, oh Hopper
Where have you been,
I miss you so much
Where are you my friend,
You are probably bike riding threw Italy
Touring the great mountains threw out
I knos you are definitely drinking great beers, no doubt.
Your postcard from Paris was super legit,
But please come home soon
I need someone to drink with until someone tells us to quit,
I know you're having a ball,
And your postcard will forever hang on my wall,
Go tan on the nude beach,
I'll see you on the 15th.

As you might be able to tell, one of my very nearest and dearest friends, Andrea Hopper, has been vacation in Europe and I miss her. So I thought I would write a little poem for her so she knows how much she is missed.
I also wanted to show what I did with her cool postcard ;)

I told her to send me a postcard or something I could hang on the wall.

This was totally perfect :)

So this is my open-postcard to you, Hopper :)
Have a great rest of your trip and safe travels home. I can't wait to have a beer with you!
Miss you ton!

Emu, Buffalo and Deer, Oh My!!

What a weekend! My friends that live in Colorado were visiting so that was super fun!! My kids had so much fun playing with their son. I actually think my kids behaved better with him around. HA.
On Thursday we all drove back to my home town of Mechanicsburg, PA to go to Jubilee Day. It's a day long fair on the Main Street. There is good food, art and crafts and rides for the kids. We all had so much fun!

Obviously Logan wanted JoJo's pizza.

Then on Friday we went to Lake Tobias.
Except that its not an actual lake that you can swim in. The name is totally misleading. Hahaha. It's actually a safari type zoo. You get on a big bus and they drive you all over the 200+ acre land. And the best part is, you can feed the animals!!!! They are so used to people feeding them that they just come up when the buses rolls up.

I think I had more fun then the kids did.

It was a good time.

And on Sunday we went to the beach. I mean, where else would you go with your family when you live in New Jersey?!? We live about an hour away from Sea Bright and Sandy Hook National Park and it is very beautiful there. It's sad to drive down the main road, Highway 36, and seeing all the houses that are still damaged by storm Sandy. Half of the houses are rebuilt but the others have a long way to go. I love going to the beach and I know we will be back a lot this summer.

Bridal Shower

This weekend we went to Tyler's hometown. His brother is getting married and his wife-to-be was having a bridal shower. So I made some delicious cookies and a cute 'here comes the bride' banner.

Sprinkle cookie dough-

Frozen cookie dough-

The most perfect delicious cookie :)

The bridal shower was at an old hotel that's a restaurant now.

It was super cute :)

My banner and cookies :D

The beautiful bride-to-be, Tara and her little sister.

It was a beautiful day too. After the bridal shower I went antiquing with my mother-in-law and her sister. It was so much fun!
I wanted to take this guy home.

Hahahahaha. He was so soft and cuddly. It looked like he was giving high-fives! I love taxidermy. I want to get a Beaver giving a thumbs up. Hahaha. That would be so fun.
I should of bought this hat.

I wish I could go to antique stores all the time. I think my kids would break everything that's not already broken. Ha!
I'm taking the kids to my hometown this Tuesday. We are going to Jubilee Day on Thursday and on Friday we are going to Hershey Park! I'm so freaking excited! I think I'm more excited than the kids are. Haha.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and a magic Monday :D

Ooh, yum!

This weekend was super crazy. We did a baseball game on Thursday. It was at Montclair State University which is about 20 mins away from my house. It was also $1 beer night, perfect!!
Dylan had a blast.
Then Friday and Saturday was spent with family and old friends I haven't seen for awhile. It was so hot outside. I wish I had a pool or at least, more friends with pools ;)
On Sunday I gave Tyler a early birthday present.
So while Tyler and his friends set that up I made my favorite dip, Cheddar, Bacon and Ranch dip. It's so quick and easy to make.

Cheddar, Bacon, Ranch Dip

Ingredients-
16oz Sour Cream
1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese ( I used PepperJack cheese this time)
1 Packet dry Ranch Mix
1 3oz Bag of Real Bacon Bits

First, finely shred the cheese into a medium bowl. Then add the sour cream, ranch mix and bacon bits, into the bowl. Mix everything together. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour then serve.

Shred the cheese in a bowl.

Then add the rest of the ingredients.

Mix throughly and refrigerate.

Serve with chips or pretzels :)

This is a great dip to make and everyone loves it. I think these guys liked it a little too much ;)

Happy Monday!
